The app itself is really good. However I dont like that it is beeing "sold out" as donation ware when it is clearly not. http://www.subsoniclicense.tk Therefor I decided to show you guys this website where you can generate your own license for free. If you like the program you should of cource consider donating anyway.

Rarely does something deserve a 5* anymore, but this, well this is awesome..! Yes it has some simple limitations, genre selection, play entire library, view track info etc.. but these dont stop the fact my HTC desire HD and my wifes iPhone can share a single music library without syncing, copying or moving files about. This is more than just an Android music streaming app.. this is a better way to live music!

It is a GREAT APP, but it has a MAJOR flaw: it hijacks the headset controls and makes them unusable. Once you install Subsonic you cannot use your headset controls for other apps and you even cannot answer incoming calls. Please fix this ASAP! Tested on HTC Desire, HTC Desire HD and Samsung Galaxy S using Android 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3.

Great app - sometimes a tad buggy Great interface, occasional connection problems are sometimes tedious to resolve.

A decent free Subsonic app...but UltraSonic is still somewhat better For free, I cannot complain. I wanted an app to connect to my Ampache server via HTTPS and this worked. Bandwidth limitation to help save some data usage on mobile is a huge plus! It has a much better interface than then any other free Subsonic apps, and above and beyond any native Ampache apps (mostly all dead anyway). Still, it is not without its limitations. The audio focus is way off. Not only does it mute the music when navigation kicks in, but it mutes the navigation audio as well. Kind of useless at this point. Gapless playback is not available (the first attempt to play streaming ogg files will just stop and skip to the next song after 20 seconds; would have to skip back to play correctly...just got annoying after a while). It's a good app for those that don't really expect or need too much. But, it lacks quite a bit that Ultrasonic (also free...but dead project) does better (list by album title, gapless playback, correct audio focus, and being able to list my video catalog and play them). Since the Ultrasonic project looks like it's dead, I'm really hoping this one will catch up.

Best streamer ever I use it for the 2500+ songs I have as well as my dad's music. It's great... Wish there was an Apple version
