Nuffield HealthScore™

Nuffield HealthScore™

HealthScore is a free and personalised, digital wellbeing coach that helps you to live a healthier and more active life. The app is designed to learn about your current health status and monitor the daily habits that affect your wellbeing long-term. It brings together all this information in one single, simple and personal health ‘score’. You can influence this score – and your health – by increasing the number over time.

Developed by the experts at Nuffield Health, it focuses you on behaviours that really matter to wellness – being more active, eating healthily, managing stress and improving sleep quality. The app links to lots of popular tracking devices like Fitbit and Jawbone to make it even easier for you to monitor these lifestyle behaviours regularly. HealthScore then provides the ‘intelligence’ to take you beyond simply tracking, by reflecting and rewarding your efforts through changes in your personal HealthScore. The more impactful a behaviour on your health, the more the score reacts.

Alerts sound every 30 seconds I've had the same issues on both Samsung galaxy alpha and now on the Samsung galaxy S6. Every time I track something, whether it's walking or a weight lifting session, as long as the app is running it makes my notification alerts go off on my phone every 30 seconds. Basically my phone beeps and vibrates like I'm getting a text message every 30 seconds while the app is active. The only way to stop this is to mute my phone but then I miss calls and texts as my phones on silent. Absolutely ridiculous!

Deleted... Logs itself out, needs activation codes and when I did finally get in could only input basic information. Waste of memory so deleted, will have to use the website. Updated version - tried again, seems more stable at least, however went to enter a spinning session, options were average BPM (so far so good) but then distance??? Really? Who's writing this stuff?....

Easy to use This version of the app is obviously new, because I'm not having any of the problems mentioned in previous reviews. I found it easy to start using and it is very intuitive. I've only just started, but compared to other health apps, this one tracks way more health markers than others. I love that it isn't just another calorie counter. Very good for those of us dealing with disordered eating.

Awful very difficult to enter information, those horrible "thumbwheels" for everything, even things like weight where just entering numbers would be easier. Asks for email address twice - really? Is this a 1990s web site? For spinning, I record average watts and total calories, it only accepts distance (meaningless) and heart rate. Does this mean average? don't know. So no effective way of entering information for this exercise. Can't seem to delete entries - oh, sorry, you can, by the highly intuitive method (NOT!) of pressing and holding it. For pilates, only entry is heart rate - who records that for Pilates? Chest strap is too uncomfortable. In short, pretty bloody useless
