Description
The Pingdom Android app lets you connect to the Pingdom uptime monitoring service and view the current status of the servers and websites you are monitoring. It is a handy companion when you receive an error alert from Pingdom.
Features: - Get alerts directly to your Android phone (push notifications require Android 2.2 or later). - View the current status (up or down) of all your monitored sites. - View uptime and response time statistics for each site. - Customize the list of shown checks (each check monitors a site or server). - Get information about each check, such as its monitoring resolution, check type (HTTP, Ping, DNS, SMTP, IMAP, POP3, TCP port, etc.) and target (IP address or URL).
Requirements: To use the Pingdom Android app you first need to have a Pingdom account. You can learn more about the Pingdom uptime monitoring service at www.pingdom.com, where you can also sign up for a free account.
Recent changes: Aside from various bug fixes, we have added two new features to the app:
+ The ability to pause/unpause checks (monitoring). + An outage view where you can also see the detected errors (good for troubleshooting on the go).

Very useful Very useful app. As others have said, it needs it's own sounds so I can disable other notifications at night, so the only thing that can wake me up is the Pingdom tool. If it had this, I would give it 5 stars.

Great app, needs alarm sounds As others have mentioned, this is a great app. However the notification needs to be customizable. This is the only app that I want to wake me up at night, so it needs to NOT inherit the mute settings for the phone, and it needs to have an alarm sound, or at least allow you to use your own MP3 or WAV file to notify you. Also once in a while, my app force closes. Samsung Epic 4G on Bonsai ROM 4.1.3.

Random Notification Support says its because my phone is rooted which is complete crap. Their system is sending my phone alerts being rooted has nothing to do with it.

Why require my phone number and serial number? Why does this app require my phone number and phone's serial number? So you can sell it, without my permission, to advertising companies? I want my servers monitored, not my phone or my contacts! I wish I could give it a negative rating!

Can't view today's info I live in New Zealand - one of the first countries to see the day - and I can't set the search dates to end today. - I have to wait until later in the day to see the results for right now. Given I'm paying for this service, it needs to be fixed!
