Google refunded me! I wrote to Google to complain about the removal of sd card access for apps and asked them to refund me for this one. I explained it was their fault and not the developers that a function had been removed. My stock file management app (File Commander) does allow write access to sd card but requires an in-app purchase to unlock all functions. Google have agreed to refund me. I'm sad to say goodbye to Solid Explorer as it is the best file management app I've used. I will be back if write to sd card is fixed!

I loved this app I purchased this app.... Since the latest android update I can't edit SD card. It tells me I need to root to edit because of android KitKat blocked this feature. I can still edit the SD card on other fils explorers without root.
