Reboot Widget (root)

This app is a widget for your home screen. It works on rooted phones only. If you don't know what "root" is, then your phone is not rooted. You can check out my website android.jakar.co/rooting to find out about rooting.

You can reboot into:

• Recovery Mode
• Download Mode
• Bootloader Mode

or you can:
• Reboot Normally
• Power Off your phone

The pro version ($1.00) also includes:
• Ad Free
• "Ask" option, so that each time you click the widget you get an option of Recovery, Download Mode, Bootloader, Normal Reboot, or Power Off.


Most phones use 'bootloader' mode, but some phones use 'download' mode. It is essentially the same thing, but you generally have one or the other.

Note 1: This may not work for all phones because the methods to reboot are not "supported" by Google/Android. If it doesn't work, please email me at support@jakar.co and I will look into other solutions.

Note 2: If you try to do a reboot that your phone doesn't support, then it will likely just reboot normally. For example on a Samsung Captivate "Reboot Bootloader" just does a normal reboot.

Note 3: Permissions are used for ads.

Recent changes:
• Changed code for powering off to fix problems on certain devices.
You will need to remove then re-add the widget if you were having a problem with power off function.
PLEASE contact support@jakar.co if power off function still doesn't work or did work before and no longer does.
