I tried a few VLC Remotes and this one seems to connect faster than the others on startup. Which is handy when you need to pause!

Excellent, just installed & tried it out and seems to work OK on work PC. Will try it out on home PC later

Even when it's not open, it will pause VLC for you when you answer a call. It's like magic. Does a lot of the things I need: open files, adjust audio, etc. Can't get the subtitle controls to work.

Works flawlessly! Galaxy S3, easy to configure, full range of control options - gives for free what lesser apps charge for. Highly recommended!

Does what it needs to. The instructions on how to connect the phone to the computer ought to be clearer (adding HTTP as an input option was an extra stage that wasn't mentioned, but linked on a separate page), but it's great when it's set up. Notable side features include subtitle/audio and aspect ratio selection, fullscreen toggle and basic shuffle/loop modes. Currently combining it with a Youtube playlist lua for an experience remeniscent of when I used to use DVD players...only with a touchscreen remote. What's TV again?
