Smart Screen ON

★★★★★ This is the first time to use this kind's of app's. I am thankful for used this to my CP co'z the power button of my CP using is totally useless to used.

★★★★★ Great for Galaxy Nexus, not Nexus 5 This has worked for all my Samsung phones (captivate, galaxy nexus, Galaxy S3)- but for the LG Nexus 5, it doesn't seem to pick up the waves very well. This might be due to the phone. Otherwise, 4 stars- I knock one off simply b/c it would be nice to have this somehow more usable with a lock screen setup. Pushing the power button typically does not lock the screen if you have a default timeout, but using the wave sensor will lock the screen no matter what your time.

★★★★★ Great screen on app that will save the power button. This app is less than 600k byte and doesn't drain the battery. Needs to set it always on. Otherwise, the app will shut down after a while.

★★☆☆☆ Wake up too easily UPDATE: Touch Control + franco. Kernel is MUCH better than this app! Touch Control really wakes up by swiping on the screen or tapping, and this with very little battery usage. While this app (Smart Screen On) uses more battery and requires you to wave the finger precisely above the proximity sensor (the little circle on top right of the phone). OLD REVIEW: Tried the free and wanted to support the dev by buying the paid version. This app is useful for people having a non-functional power button. My Galaxy Nexus is unlocked almost every time time I put the phone in the pocket or take it out of the pocket. I have tried various parameter values, Wave Hand mode, Tap & Swipe mode. All failed b/c sliding the phone in the pant pocket somehow tricks the proximity sensor. As a result, the power button might be saved but battery usage increased. After a week, I developed a weird habit of looking in the pocket to check if the screen is on (it is most of the time). Then I took it out, turned screen of and slide back carefully in the pocket and rechecked. I grow tired of this routine and decided to uninstall. Now I can tell you I prefer much better the old way.
