The app is good with the texting bout I wish the calls were a bit better the drop wen u r in the middle of taking to someone on the phone plz fix the calling part it sounds bad sometimes wen am on the phone talking

You have to subscribe (with no free trial) to receive verification codes through text. I'm sure the app is fine otherwise and the free second number is great, but this issue alone immediately turned me off of it. Look somewhere else if you don't feel like getting scammed.

Been using text free for probably 10 years or pretty close to that. The app was fairly new and like every app it's had some glitches along the way, but it is by far the best text app that I've used. I've tried all the others but deleted them. Text Free is the only text app I have kept. Thanks Text Free team. UPDATE 2026: Pinger now adjust the volume when you have the phone up to your ear to switch to speakerphone when its up to your ear. The volume damaged my ear drum. I am seeking a lawyer

Invasive ads that slow down the application, and it's performance, the requirement of keeping the app open in order for voice calls to be audible by the receiver (can't multitask), call quality is very poor and often has echoing feedback in the background for the recipient of a call, incoming calls are ALWAYS missed due to ads and broken notification system that does not work as it should, can only receive calls when the app is open, calls often fail to be made the first time you dial, etc...
