Status Bar Expander

Status Bar Expander

Status Bar Expander expands/opens the notification bar. It is accessible from anywhere via long press at the search button.

You can also use it as a widget-like shortcut on your home screen.

- Long pressing the search button may not work on some devices, e.g. Defy and Droid X, and of course not on devices without a search button.
- On stock Jelly Bean (Android 4.1 and up), long pressing the search button is overridden by Google Search.
- Unfortunately it is not possible to display the status bar if it is hidden by your launcher. Only the notification drawer will be expanded.

Hello Friedflow, I wonder if there is a way to make it work from the menu button hold or back button hold ? because the search button hold is already used by some apps as a shortcut to quick Message ... Thanks

Indispensable!! As screens on these smartphones get bigger, the harder it is to reach the top to pull down the magic curtain with all it's helpful info and app shortcuts hidden behind it. This app makes it a cinch, especially when using just one hand! One of my top used apps, given the privileged position in my bottom tray. Sure glad I found it!!!

No search button Would it be possible to assign to "recent app" button on long press for a phone like the nexus 5 which does not feature a search button.
