★★☆☆☆ Doesn't do what I want I use Smart Launcher and was hoping to use this to let me have my status bar hidden and open it at the touch of a button but the app only seems to work when my status bar isn't hidden. It works perfectly when my status bar is not hidden but I've got no problems swiping down to do what this app does in that case. Shame.

★★☆☆☆ doesn't work I guess I should have read more carefully because I thought this was a status bad/notification tray replacement app.all it did was put a shortcut on my screen to expand the tray that I do have. no good because I'm trying to move the tray and if we can have floating notifications we can sure as hell have a notification tray replacement

Status Bar Expander expands/opens the notification bar. It is accessible from anywhere via long press at the search button.

You can also use it as a widget-like shortcut on your home screen.

- Long pressing the search button may not work on some devices, e.g. Defy and Droid X, and of course not on devices without a search button.
- On stock Jelly Bean (Android 4.1 and up), long pressing the search button is overridden by Google Search.
- Unfortunately it is not possible to display the status bar if it is hidden by your launcher. Only the notification drawer will be expanded.
