Works well! Some video - data sync issues I used this for the first time over the weekend using the internal GPS on my LG Optimus G. The lap times match those of friends using a stop watch very closely. Still, I plan on getting a blue tooth GPS soon for improved accuracy. The only issue I had was that the video and data did not sync perfectly. I had to adjust the start time manually in Race Render afterward to make them line up. Not the end of the world, but a bit annoying. I also wish there was more technical documentation on how the app calculcates G forces. For example, does the phone automatically figure out its orientation (it does not have to be mounted to the car sqaure)? What is the concequence of moving the phone relative to the car after you have started, will this throw off the accelerometer axis? Does the app compare GPS path to the accelerometer axis to calibrate itself?

Speed and acceleration vs distance This app is very helpful to improve your driving skills. Be sure to checkout the function that allows you to compare speed and acceleration vs distance in a lap. I used this to compare my instructor's laps (Pete Miller at Bondurant) against mine. It showed my how he was smoother, did earlier breaking and earlier acceleration out of the corners and could take corners tighter because of this and end up going faster in the straightaway. His 30 years of experience really shows his expert skills vs mine. One can pan the Trackmaster values on the plot as you move the distance cursor and it shows you a small map of the track and where your are at any point on the plotted values. You can overlay any 2 laps. Hints of what to do:'Sessions'. 'Laps', long press on lap of intere, 'Graph', 'Overlay' select lap of interest which can be from another session …. Really helpful. Thanks Trackmaster authors for this great app and great support.

Deleted most of my sessions. Deleted sessions, did not record one. When you watch video the speed and other data does not change. This app used to work well.

You can run a session and have no data recorded! Why does this app need a trigger to start recording data? If your GPS or split markers are out it will never start and you get no data so you cant even reposition your splits over the actual tracks later. Racechrono allows you to specify the width and direction of splits so even if your gps is a bit haphazard you can still make your split lines wider. Also why no export in a format serious lap analysis software like vbox circuit tools can accept? Racechrono is free. No comparison. Don't waste your money.

Lots of Data but Unusable I had big hopes for this app but it's designed quite poorly. When I attempted to use it at the track today I came back to find out that it hadn't recorded any data. even though I had started it correctly. As it turns out, you have to setup your track before it will track any data. You have to define the split points. Why? Why can't it just start tracking your GPS data if you don't have any split points defined? Once I got home I sat in the car and tried to figure out the app as I drove around the block. One, it won't work unless you define split points for your track. Two, the GPS code is really bad. I sat for at least 7 minutes in the car before it would lock on. Meanwhile Google maps had no problem locking on. Three, the user interface to look at your data is just terrible. Maybe I'm picky because I'm developer but while it tracks a tone of data, this is really quite unusable. Oh yes, and as I was driving around the block it crashed at least four times. It could be an absolutely fantastic app but they'll need to rethink everything and give us a new design.
