Fabulous functionality. Horrendous interface. Once you manage to stagger your way through this app's appalling interface, getting mentally tortured all the while, and finally get it to work, it's really quite excellent. It's fast, downloads countless thousands of SMS's in seconds, allows you save them on disk in a universal CVS format (readable by spreadsheets and practically everything else), and so on. Works well and fast over a local WiFi, so you don't even have to plug your phone into your computer. Easy to verify it's output has got all messages. Doesn't have any provisions fo MMS data; too bad. Most others don't either. IMHO, it has the best concept for an SMS backup app on the market. I don't WANT my SMS's cluttering up my GMAIL account like the OTHER SMS backup apps do. Had the execution of the app been as well done as the idea, this one would be way the best. And there will be the occasional GPF and Forceclose, though it doesn't seem to lose data. If you can grit your teeth through the stink and slime of the experience and focus on its output, you'll come to love and trust it. But if polish is important to you...fahgeddaboudit. Be warned, though, the other apps in this segment are less useful.

Perfect for saving SMS to my PC Wanted to save SMS to my PC to save space on my phone. This did the job perfectly, storing them in threads by contact in a nice user friendly interface. Also has the ability to restore SMS back to phone. Small price worth paying in my opinion.

Highly Satisfying Tried out many other tools, but only VeryAndroid SMS Backup did the trick. I needed to transfer over 1800 sms from my old Nokia N8-00 to my new SG-S3; none other could do it and ultimately I could transfer the entire lot using the paid version of this great software. Saved my day
