This is an amazing app that I have used for years. I love it so much it's hard to put into words, and while there's some minor things that could be better, it's not stuff that would affect the average user. Here are those things: the edit speech option only works per sentence, so you can't automatically remove things like a table of contents. Also, whatever extracts essential text when opening a website article sometimes doesn't get the right text, and doesn't have any way to change this behavior

I gave @voice five stars in 2020 after roughly 3–5 years using it. In June 2024 I still give it five stars. It is my daily go-to for reading text aloud in many contexts, emails, pdfs, but mostly articles online that are lengthy. I still periodically listen to the thirty-minute US Constitution that I archived within the app 6 years ago. Works great.

Sorry about the low rating just trying to get personal help with a broken voice settings I have to use the custom engine to select network voice that sounds better No clue why Google doesn't allow that setting. If you download a voice it stops using network altogether without any setting. Just typical Google behavior I quit there long, long time ago can't see stand them. It's used to be really good. However, I emailed support when I had an issue after buying a new phone, no answer. I now have to listen to ads even after buying premium and following the steps given in the premium license. --‐----------- Please email again as I have nothing in spam or in my junk. I have removed it from all my old devices and this one. I reinstalled it through the play store and still it gives me an error message.

It keeps showing me ads even though I bought premium. I have Google Play DISABLED because the latest version has no option not to update apps. It FORCES updates on the user. Does @Voice rely on Play to check premium? It SHOULDN'T! It should be one and done! What if there's no internet?!

I specifically paid for this app, so I wouldn't have my data sold to third parties, Only to then be forced to download a second app that will sell my data to a third party. It's a very shady way to do business.
