I successfully got approved for production on my first try. I paid for the private testing right away, so I can't really say what you'll get using free plan. Although, I'd highly recommend to pick the private testing since they will provide you a detailed report by professional testers. This will not only get your app approved, but also to get your app as polished as possible, which is what Google also expect from this mandatory test. Edit: I've been using this twice and both are successful!

Rubbish. No one opens the app and plays store realizes, so it doesn't count to your 12 tests. Find 12 mates to test it properly

Time-consuming, non-transparent. I collected moons for two packs, Installed everything, completed all tasks. Next day I was kicked out, all my moons consumed. Also, unsure if this helps, I can't really tell if anyone has installed my app. I installed about 30 to help out. They also push their testing services which are sketchy.

Doesn't work at all... Posting app is too complicated and many of testing apps doesn't work. Probably because of that. After 1 day, I was able to get 60 credit for testing some working apps. Then, I posted mine, and I got email that need to add group mail to the app test and repost again. Getting another credit for testing other apps doesn't work. No way to delete my account from your test application.

You won't get your 12 testers complete its says in 36 hours you will get 12 testers, but I am always a get 5-6 tester. Worst experience.
