Welcome to the new 511 Georgia app.
The 511 Georgia mobile app provides real-time road and traffic information to Georgia drivers. Construction, congestion, and other delays are centrally monitored by the many cameras, sensors, and other data available to the Georgia Department of Transportation. Our app will help you plan your route, anticipate delays, and get where you're going faster.
This app features a scrollable, zoomable map that displays: - Traffic Events, such as collisions and other road hazards - Over 2000 Cameras, frequently updated so you can see the conditions for yourself - Message Signs - Rest Areas - Express Lanes
Other features of the app include: - Route Comparison, enter a destination and get up to 3 routes with travel times displayed - Route Schedules, you can save a route and set a daily time to have the app run that route before you leave so you can receive automatic notifications - Drive Mode Alerts, you can just start driving with the app on and you will be notified with an audio alert of any delays on the road ahead of you - Call 511 – Call in for issues and conditions that you may experience on your route

Only issue is many times the camera get pixelated. Not an app issue but a camera issue. Need a way to report the ones acting up. I monitor traffic for my semi truck driver boyfriend. It helps keep his driving delays down.

The only thing I would like to see is, the exact mile you ate on, so you can better tell 511 or 911 where, exactly you are so First Responders and CHAMP Patrollers can more accurately find you when in need! Other than that it's a solid app!

12/20/22 as of updating my review the app since the most recent update has become even worse to work with and is constantly crashing and won't even open cameras that I know work saying that video isn't available for that camera app needs some serious work. As a former hero operator for the state of georgia department of transportation this app was useful, but now it seems too glitchy and buggy

This used to be a great app with a lot of functionality. Since the update it is useless. It is apparent that whoever is updating this app never has to actually use it. Update 10.27.23: still useless

Doesn't work on my pixel 2 map shows but no cameras even if box checked. No cameras in camera section or areas. Just moveable map
