Comments on SMS Backup & Restore for Android

★★★★★ Brian Nichols · Oct 14, 2026

Very pleased. SMS Backup and Restore App performed flawlessly to transfer SMS from old Samsung to new Motorola phone, when many other mechanisms could not.

★★★★★ Ravikiran Madineni · Sep 27, 2026

You can directly transfer all your Call logs and Messages over Wi-Fi from your Old phone to New phone.

★☆☆☆☆ Dawn Yurescko · Sep 29, 2026

Created a huge 5.9gb backup file which I would have been fine with if it worked. Unfortunately it did not and I specifically wanted to back up my messages to correct a different issue and when I reset the messaging app, as expected, some messages were missing. I tried to restore with this app, and it didn't work for then messages I wanted, but it DID restore hundreds of spam texts

★☆☆☆☆ Eric Hernandez · Sep 28, 2026

Did not work. It appears to make a backup but the restore option does not work with the very backups it created just minutes before. I tried with usb stick, Google Drive, and OneDrive. None worked. Don't assume your files are safe. Also still showed ads even after purchase and reinstall.

★☆☆☆☆ Erin Buteau · Oct 18, 2026

I downloaded this app to help transfer my messages from my old phone to my new one. The backup from the old phone worked great. The restore option on the new phone isn't. It is only restoring around 20% of my messages. It just stops at that point and won't continue any further. Extremely disappointing!
