Abac.us

Turn your daily homework into a calming, hands‑on ritual with an app that feels like a real wooden abacus sitting on your desk. Every assignment becomes a single polished bead that you slide from left to right as you work through your study list. The main screen presents a full abacus frame where each metal rod represents one subject, and the beads you thread onto it are your pending tasks. Tapping any bead gently toggles its position, so marking something done feels as satisfying as moving a physical counter. A separate list view lets you scroll through all your assignments at a glance, with each row showing a coloured subject dot, the task description, and its due date. From that list, a simple swipe is all it takes to send a bead sliding into the completed position. When you need to add new work, the dedicated creation screen asks you to choose a subject colour, write a short task name, pick a due date, and optionally set a priority level before placing the bead on the correct rod. Your dashboard is a small slate chalkboard that lives in the corner of the desk, where the total number of pending beads is written by hand in chalk. Right beside the slate, a special brass tally rail holds a single wooden bead that physically slides into a notch to show exactly how many assignments are due this week. You can even tap a quick‑action area on the dashboard to automatically advance the nearest urgent bead from pending to done. All your data stays quietly on your device through local storage, so the experience is completely private and works anywhere without an internet connection. The entire interface rests on a richly textured walnut desk surface with soft chalk dust and scattered spare beads, making every interaction feel deliberate and calm. Students who juggle multiple subjects will appreciate seeing their workload organised by colour across the rods, while parents can use it as a gentle visual system to help children keep track of school responsibilities. There are no checkmarks or ticks anywhere, just the quiet click of a brass washer pressing against a finished bead to tell you the work is complete.
