An abacus with nine beads instead of ten would be easier to use, but not a bad effort.

If there were nine beads per rod instead of ten, with the fifth bead on each rod all the same color but different from the rest, and with no beam, it would be better. The number of beads would more closely match the written system of numbers with the zero that is commonly used. It might be easier to use than the soroban. The nine beaded kind would have every bead having a value of one. Different color beads would make discerning the number of active beads easy. Beads active at the top.

Oh dear! My initial review was meant to inspire the developer to improve the app, but instead they assumed I was incompetent! If 1 star is too high for them, I'm sorry. The app was installed, opened and worked on 1st occasion, after that it never gets past "checking consent"! It was uninstalled, reinstalled and opened, worked 1st time but thereafter stuck on "checking consent"! If you can't fix it, apologies would be accepted, but don't blame me 😬

Rubbish, stupid add scroll from bottom to up on screen continues, and you can't do anything to stop it or to do any counting on abacus£.0,59 it's not a big deal to pay for it but before buy this its fair first let us see if it works and if yes I'm happy to pay even more to stop stupid ads.Also, an app designed for kids to show ads for adults it's another rubbish.

This is not how an abacus is supposed to work. Each rod is supposed to be a different "place" (i.e. the first rod is ones, 2nd is tens, 3rd is hundreds, etc.)

Different color beads in increments of 5 would be great. Allowing beads to go further to fully separate 10 from 10 even better.
