Description
ACDS CAMP (Contact Allergen Management Program) is a database provided by the American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS) which is designed to help patients with allergic contact dermatitis find personal care products that are free of the ingredients that are causing their allergic reactions. Each list generated is personalized for the patient. The list is not exhaustive, but is an excellent starting point for patients to find products that will relieve their allergic reactions. The CAMP app is designed to allow patients to carry their own personalized list of "safe" products on their phone in an easy-to-use and sort format. The CAMP app makes shopping for allergen-free products simple! In order to use the CAMP app, patients must first obtain their individualized "safe" product list and user ID codes from a participating ACDS physician. The CAMP app is designed to access the CAMP database so that the patient’s safe product list is displayed on their phone. The list can then be sorted by product type, brand name or product name. There is also a search function to help search for products using specific criteria. Favorite products can be chosen and displayed. The app also displays a list of specific allergens which the patient needs to avoid.
Recent changes: Added option to choose different retailers for selected products in the purchase. Made the application fully compatible with Android 16. General improvements and bug fixes.

I enjoy this app and it is helpful. But this app would be way more functional and easier to use if it had a barcode scanner.

GENIUS!!! "Safe" products, items, topical meds at my fingertips. Never forgetting, or standing there with my 100+page "book". Auto updates! No more download/print to shop. My Drs are very impressed, verifying "safe" products, allergies, manufacturers, to list on scripts. No more go-between Pharmacy. One oversight: no oral meds, injections/infusions, or medical products (i.e. Sutures, wound dressings, etc.), or clothing listed. I would love to see an allergy app for foods/packaging as well!!

Love the app! Easy to use while shopping for products that are safe for my skin and do not contain the ingredients I'm allergic to. Be sure to refresh the app on occasion to update the products on your own list by dragging the screen down. This will add new products and remove other products that may now have newly added ingredients from your allergy list. Thank you ACDS Camp!

New to this game. Discovered all these new allergies I have in December. I got the app and started scanning products that I use to see if they were "safe. " It's been months, and they are still "under review". How long do people have to wait realistically? This whole thing has been very frustrating. Has to be a better log in system. Sometimes I write the name of the product, says it's not in the system, but I go to a store, and I'm able to log in the barcode it recognizes it. Annoying.

While it's useful, there are 100+ ways this app could be improved. Largest one being that there's no way to know which products you're just typing wrong, or they don't have in the system vs products you're allergic to. It just doesn't show up on your safe list. The allergen list also doesn't expand to tell you which products that ingredient would normally be in, or what else it could be listed as.
