The ASL app offers three major sections. “Get Lessons” for interactive learning of letters and digits in American Sign Language. Makes learning asl letters and numbers easy and fun. It can read your hand signals. It does sometimes have difficulty reading signs (such as the letter 'z'). But I easily learned all the letters and numbers within a day.

I've never experienced an asl app that's so interactive. Usually it's just flashcards that you have to learn from and watching YouTube videos. This one tracks your motions and corrects you. Making sure you're learning the right sign.

Loved the app until it got to any signs with movement. The app cannot read hands in motion and therefore no lessons can be completed if they contain a sign with movement. Cant get Z or J to recognize my hand movement in the time alotted. Disappointing, because if this was fixed I would buy the full version.

The flashcards are awful for hand spelling. The ones for the numbers look great, but the finger spelling ones are cropped to only show the person's head and shoulders, and the hand sign is totally cropped out. It occasionally jerks his hand up like a GIF, but this is done at random and no screen interaction seems to work to put the hand sign into view. Haven't even moved into the exercises since I could use the basic cards at all.

Was fun until it wouldn't track the letter Z. So I'm just an idiot drawing zigzags in the sky for 5 mins. Then it didn't recognize any of the numbers I tried to sign. It's like your hand needs to be the exact same shape and size as the person's in the picture, or it doesn't work.
