VOICE TYPING THAT HEARS WHOLE SENTENCES

Most voice keyboards transcribe word by word and lose the thread. AI Keyboard’s recommended engine — Groq Whisper large-v3 — records your complete message first, then transcribes it with full sentence context. The difference is night and day, especially for long, natural speech.

Prefer watching words appear as you talk? Gemini 3.1 Flash Live streams your transcription in real time, keeps every word — and writes Japanese and Chinese properly, without the stray spaces other tools leave in. Settings names the exact model behind each engine, and a badge on every result shows which model actually did the work.

FIX THE WHOLE MESSAGE WITH ONE HOLD

Typed a long, messy message? Hold a prompt chip and the keyboard rewrites everything in the text box — fix grammar, go formal, go casual, shorten — then shows you a preview. Tap Replace and it’s rewritten in place, with a five-second Undo and a confirmation if you typed while it was thinking. It refuses outright in password, email, phone and other sensitive fields, and it’s off until you switch it on.

ANSWER IN ANY LANGUAGE, FROM ONE TAP

Every correction names the language it came back in. Tap the Language Chip to switch and re-run the same text — dictate in Japanese, send in English. Hold and slide to jump across your shortlist. Eleven languages available, including Japanese, Korean, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese; you pick which ones live on the chip.

TYPING HELP THAT NEVER TOUCHES THE NETWORK

A suggestion strip offers words as you type, obvious typos fix themselves on space, and the next word is offered before you type it. One backspace undoes any fix — and teaches the keyboard to leave that word alone. It runs against a 37,000-word dictionary inside the app: no network, no API key, works in airplane mode. Words you teach it never leave your phone.

DIGITS AND PUNCTUATION WITHOUT A LAYOUT SWITCH

Hold any top-row key for its digit — q for 1, p for 0. Hold . or , and sixteen punctuation marks open under your thumb; slide and lift. Release without moving and you just get the key you were pressing, so a slip costs nothing. Held backspace speeds up from characters to whole words, with a stop at every line break.

YOUR KEY, YOUR DATA

AI Keyboard has no server of its own. You bring a free API key from Groq or Google — Groq’s free tier covers everyday messaging without costing a cent — and your text travels directly from your phone to your provider. Keys are stored encrypted on the device. Audio is recorded only while the mic is on. A built-in usage screen shows exactly what you’ve spent, request by request.
