FLOATING ASSISTANT & ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE Voxly's optional floating assistant uses the Android AccessibilityService API. It is used for one purpose only: to insert the text you dictate in Voxly into the text field you are typing in, in other apps such as WhatsApp, Gmail or Notes, when you tap "Insert".
To do this, the Accessibility Service accesses: • which text field is selected on your screen, so Voxly knows where to put your text; • where the on-screen keyboard is, so the floating bubble stays above it; and • the text already in that one field, only at the moment you tap "Insert", so your words are added at the cursor instead of replacing it.
This data is used only to insert your text. It is not collected, stored, logged, or sent to Voxly's servers or any third party. Voxly never reads or fills password, PIN, one-time-code or payment fields, and never uses the service to monitor your activity or to perform actions you did not ask for.
The Accessibility Service is off by default. Voxly shows a disclosure and asks for your consent before you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time in Android Settings → Accessibility → Voxly Assistant. Everything else in Voxly works without it.
