Not sure why so many people are having issues, I've been using this app with my Vevo heaters for 2 years now with no issues. This app works great and controls 2 heaters.

Not perfect but world's better than the Vevo control panel on heater. On newer Vevo power on, then hold up+down, then up arrow until you see P. that is pairing mode. Scan in app. *up more is Bluetooth pin (1234 usually). Power button to return.

The Bluetooth will not connect to my heater unless I am right next to the heater. The app will also disconnect mid-use.

Pointless. Connection problems. Little functionality. Yes app lets user turn heater on off, set temp / rate, offers basic info as room and heater temps. But this is not very useful. A smartphone app should have all the compute needed to allow user to adjust air fuel mix, fuel rate, altitude, set multiple start stop times etc. There should be no need for better aftermarket controllers offering better UI. And this app has fewer functions than were available on previous years none Bluetooth heaters.

App will not let me put the backlight level back up and leaving it stuck at the lowest setting

In order for the app to serve anything, it must have these features and functions: 1. An instruction manual; 2. In the programmable mode with thermostat, in addition to the ignition temperature, it is possible to choose the switch-off temperature, for example: ignition at 18 °C, shutdown at 26 °C. 3. In programming the ignition times, it is necessary to be able to choose multiple times and the relative duration of the heating and not just a single time throughout the day.
