I have to own up that at first I was pretty dissatisfied with the software performance: laggy, some features weren't getting any readings, and I understand the users' frustration but the AIV ELA team has put a lot of effort and has committed to fix and improve the issues. As of now, it stays connected, and it's fast, every parameter is showing readings. For that, I commend them, I also encourage them to keep it up, and I believe the low rating right now is not justifiable.

I received my Aivela ring in February as an early Kickstarter supporter. Initial connection and data-sync issues caused inconsistent metrics, but recent app and firmware updates have largely fixed these. Battery life is excellent, connectivity is now reliable, and metrics closely match my Pixel Watch 3. Some algorithms (steps, sleep, deep sleep) still need refinement, but the developers are responsive. Overall, I'm very happy and expect further improvements over the coming months.

Still waiting for my ring to arrive but so far just installed the app, and it looks good! My only request is please add Health Connect integration, so the tracking can be shared with other fitness apps (in my case Hevy and Gym Rats). I stopped using Zepp and switched to Aivela, but no Health Connect integration is a thumbs down from my side

Gestures don't work at all on Samsung S24. I've tried numerous times. I also updated to the latest firmware that came out today and the latest app update. Still the only thing that works is to say that the gestures are activated but none of them work. Not even incorrectly. They just don't work at all.

I wanted to like this ring, but the data is unreliable. I also use a trustworthy smartwatch, and when it shows 26,000 steps, the ring counts only 17,000 (this is just one of the examples). The app is extremely slow, freezes often, and crashes during workouts. Cardiac age fluctuates between 0 and -5 years. Battery lasts 4 days, not 7. It needs major firmware and app improvements. I am hopeful improvements will come, and I am open to updating this review once these issues are addressed.
