Aldiko Next

★★★★★ Now Aldiko is my reader of choice. I like the clean readable interface of the app. But I have a couple of annoying problems: 1. In scroll view, even the slightest touch on the screen in any place makes it flip a chapter. 2. In normal view, trying to select text on the top of a page causes the page to turn. I would like to have some additional settings for gestures types or guested zones on the screen to solve it.

★★★★★ EXCELLENT! Using to read and research my downloaded epub and PDF this Aldiko version is the very best reader available. It handles extremely large files perfectly such as enabling speedy search of entire text e.g. Complete works of.... The font and layout controls enable extensive adjustment of text view.

★★★★★ Please add a white and a dark textured background. Maybe paper texture. That makes it so much easier on the eyes to read. Hello dev, thanks for the reply. I am aware of the custom background and font color features and use it to currently to get a yellow background for less strain on my eyes. I was talking about textured background which will be possible if I can apply an image as a background. If that will be possible, great. Otherwise, you still got one of the best e reader apps out here.

★★☆☆☆ Oh, I just hate the new version. I've been using aldiko for YEARS and never had any complain. Now you give this...MESS.

★★☆☆☆ I've been using this app for years, and the Next version is not good. It doesn't have an easy way to navigate inside the books like it had in the classic version. Doesn't allow marking completed each book or rate it! The library cannot be set or sort like it used to. Definitely going back to the classic version.

★★☆☆☆ Update destroyed this app under a new owner. I couldn't even import my old library; touch select did not work. Dead app. Such a shame.
