Absolutely love Readest! The UI is beautiful and the reading experience is amazing. The only feature I'd love to see is an optional page-turn/page-curl animation. It would make the app absolutely perfect! Rest are perfectly fine ❤️

It would be nicer if the tts could read every punctuation specially for local ones that will use heavier models so reading sentence by sentence would create buffer

App constantly freezes after performing simple actions like changing theme/brightness, or opening a book. Player behavior can be finicky as it does not start reading from the current focus as one would expect. I often find myself fighting the controls, since attempts to trigger controls appearance often triggers scrolling at the same time. A simplified setting that progressively discloses and disambiguates what reader vs global app controls would be beneficial. Thank you

Iast update means I can't even open app still waiting for new update. It's a good app, but I can't use it, and it's getting a bit annoying that any time I want to read I have to use my PC, specifically for books I don't have a physical copy of.

Terrible transparency regarding recent policy changes. In the latest update, WebDAV and Google Drive sync were suddenly paywalled—even for self-hosted users where the dev incurs zero server costs. It’s fine to monetize, but be honest about it. Don't pretend features are free when they aren't; even 4 days after gating these features, the official documentation still falsely claims WebDAV is free.

I only use this for mobile as I have no need to read on my computer. If you are just using this to read, this app will fulfill that purpose. I have a few issues with the app. First off, adding books takes forever especially when you have quite a collection downloaded. 2nd there are quite a few issues with the TTS, in 3 different books, the TTS changes from English to French for no reason, you also cannot change the TTS voice, and it does not update the book on where you are at when you finish TTS
