Genuinely the best reading solution, especially if you want cross-platform sync. (It syncs fonts and the books themselves too!) It beats readera and moon reader for me personally, and the interface is crisp and user-friendly.

Reading ebooks on phone for years. I found that readest is the best reader ever. My only concern is about its electron app, and it may lag badly (like notion).

I like the app. The TTS and the devs even had in mind for customization like your own fonts. I wish It wasn't so sensitive. A wrong touch will take you to a few pages down you weren't anticipating for.

Terrible transparency regarding recent policy changes. In the latest update, WebDAV and Google Drive sync were suddenly paywalled—even for self-hosted users where the dev incurs zero server costs. It’s fine to monetize, but be honest about it. Don't pretend features are free when they aren't; even 4 days after gating these features, the official documentation still falsely claims WebDAV is free.

The app was working smoothly, and I was loving the experience....but than out of nowhere it just stopped working...it wasn’t even opening.it's saying that there are bugs in the updated version and my phone can't open the app... I have tried everything thing to make it work again...like uninstalling it and reinstalling it.restarting my phone.but nothing is working...

I only use this for mobile as I have no need to read on my computer. If you are just using this to read, this app will fulfill that purpose. I have a few issues with the app. First off, adding books takes forever especially when you have quite a collection downloaded. 2nd there are quite a few issues with the TTS, in 3 different books, the TTS changes from English to French for no reason, you also cannot change the TTS voice, and it does not update the book on where you are at when you finish TTS
