With Alerts for Reddit, you can get notifications within minutes for posts on your favorite subreddits, and posts/comments from your favorite users. Customize notifications by changing frequency and filtering with keywords.
Features:
- Add/remove/mute subreddits or users at any time to start/stop seeing notifications
- No need to link your reddit account - you can get alerts for any public subreddit or user.
- Add up to 3 alerts of your choosing for free; upgrade to Premium to receive notifications for more than 3 subreddits/users.
- Set the notification frequency for each subreddit: "Trending: More" if you want notifications for all hot posts, "Trending: Fewer" if you only want breaking news, or "All" to get notified for all new posts. If you want "All" posts within 30 seconds of the post going live, you can upgrade to Premium Speed to enable the "All - Fast" frequency.
- Set the notification frequency for each user: "Posts only" or "Posts and Comments"
- Filter alerts by keyword. For example, if you want to receive notifications for /r/science where the title contains 'amphibian' or 'reptile' but not 'bird', you can!

So far so good. Would be amazing if I could set an alert for flairs though. Like a "Hiring" flair, so I can get notified when posts with that flair get posted. Also, I get multiple alerts when a post has multiple keywords I set which is really annoying.

Update: this was my fault. I didn't wait long enough for the new notifications to come I'm. developer was proactive in reaching out to me as well. Thank you! Developer: please note, that once installed and notification subscriptions are set, the 'recent notifications' still show the default alerts /r/news and /r/world news I had this app long time ago, and recently subscribed again, and it no longer works.

I set up certain words to alert me in a Subreddit. The app stopped notifying me all together. In fact, I'm not sure I ever received a notification from the app. Deleted.

I vaguely remember this app being free before one of the updates (the one that completely degraded it). Now it demands either mind-boggling recurring fees or a hefty one-time payment if you want more than 3 subscriptions at all. And for "premium speed" there isn't even a one-time option - it's subscription only. At this point, it's honestly easier to just set up notifications in any RSS reader by adding ".rss" (without quotes) to the end of Reddit user/sub link and subscribing that way.

Worked fine for a bit, but now I only get alerts from about half of the Subreddits and almost none of the users I use this app for. So basically this app is a pointless waste
