★★★★★ Actually works for payments by foreigners in China using a foreign credit card (unlike WeChat pay). Works for both standard shop payments and payments to personal accounts (many smaller shops).

★★★★★ This app is necessary if you live in China, for mobile payments, shopping on Taobao, calling a Didi, and a lot of other services. It has really been improved, with a lot more content in English now than a few years ago. Not really useful if you don't live in Mainland China though. The app is a bit bloated with ads and unnecessary services so takes up a bit of space (nothing compared to WeChat though).

★★☆☆☆ Alipay does not allow personal transfers between accounts of different countries which is the only reason for using this program. At least I was able to delete the account. If sending a personal transfer to a person of a different country is required, use Western Union!

★★☆☆☆ It is the worst payment app out there. I downloaded the app and set up my account before going to China. Had everything verified, mobile, email, ID document, biometrics, card authorization all complete. In China, every payment was rejected big and small. Tried online help, it was AI of no use at all. Called customer services. Yes, my account was blocked because of a suspicious transaction for using it the first time !!!@...no space to continue, I gave up, cancelled a/c, uninstalled the app.

★★☆☆☆ If you really make it for international then you need to support our IC and bank, not just able us for choosing the languages or location. If our IC and bank are not available then how we can top up at use it. This is the basic function for this app as an e-wallet. If don't, what is the purpose for making this app as INTERNATIONAL and put in App Store?
