Altimeter - AltiGPSMap

🏔️ Altimeter: Precision Elevation & Route Tracking

Altimeter is a high-precision elevation measurement app that provides accurate altitude above mean sea level (AMSL) anywhere on Earth. By combining GPS altitude, Fusion Map elevation, and EGM96 geoid correction, it eliminates the significant errors common in standard GPS readings.

Now featuring the Walk Route Map, the app doesn’t just tell you how high you are — it visualizes exactly where you’ve been. Whether you’re deep in the mountains or in airplane mode, Altimeter works completely offline to provide reliable data wherever your journey takes you.

💎 Key Features

◈ Dual Altitude System — GPS altitude + Fusion Map (EGM96 geoid) for professional-grade accuracy
◈ NEW! Walk Route Map — Track and visualize your movement path alongside your elevation data
◈ True AMSL Elevation — Get precise sea-level height anywhere in the world
◈ Offline Performance — Full functionality without internet; perfect for remote exploration
◈ Visual Elevation Trends — Clean, beautiful altitude graphs including Vertical Max/Min tracking
◈ Location Intelligence — View current, max, and min altitude plus your precise address

🌐 Why GPS Altitude Alone Isn’t Enough

◈ Standard GPS altitude relies on a simple ellipsoid model of Earth, which can differ from true sea level by dozens of meters
◈ Altimeter applies the EGM96 geoid model to deliver highly accurate AMSL elevation — so you know your real height, not just a raw estimate

🛰️ Optimized for the Great Outdoors

◈ No Data? No Problem — Works with GPS only; no internet connection required
◈ Battery Efficient — Optimized for long treks, remote areas, and international travel
◈ Mission-Critical Reliability — Trusted data for flights, paragliding, and emergency navigation
