Aman: Muslim Digital Protector

Stop losing your deen to your phone.

The late-night scroll that costs you Fajr. The content you promised yourself was the last time. The Quran you keep meaning to open. Aman blocks what pulls you away, calls you to every prayer, and helps you build the habits you actually want.

PROTECT
• Block adult and other haram websites in your browsers and apps, including private tabs. Website names are checked on your phone.
• Pause social media: YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, Snapchat, plus any app you choose.
• Gambling apps are blocked by default.
• Locks for weaker moments: turning website protection off takes a wait, so a passing urge can pass.
• Instead of the blocked page, a verse to bring your heart back.

PRAYER
• Accurate prayer times for where you are, by location or by city.
• The athan at each prayer, or a quiet notification. You choose for each prayer.
• An optional full-screen reminder you can't scroll past.

QURAN
• Read with 118 translations in 48 languages, plus transliteration.
• Listen to 17 reciters, verse by verse.
• Continue exactly where you stopped, with bookmarks and reading progress.
• A memorization mode: repeat each ayah, hide the text to test yourself, and revise at the right time.

HABITS
• Focus sessions that block distracting apps and sites while you study, work or read.
• Connect a habit to the Quran so it ticks itself off when you read or memorize today's ayahs.
• Reminders at a set time, or gently repeating until it's done.

PREMIUM (optional)
Prayer, the Quran and blocking adult and gambling content are free and free of ads, because worship should be. Premium adds extra tools for those who want them:
• Prayer focus: chosen apps pause at each prayer and open again after.
• Scheduled blocking, for example from Isha to Fajr.
• The commitment lock, to protect yourself from your weakest moment.
• Your weekly reflection: where your time went, what got through, and steps to do better.
• Unlimited habits (up to 5 are free).
Premium is a monthly subscription through Google Play.

YOUR PRIVACY
• No ads, ever.
• Your habits, Quran progress, protection settings and screen time stay on your phone.
• You don't need an account. Google sign-in is only used for Premium, and you can delete it at any time in the app.

HOW AMAN USES ANDROID PERMISSIONS
• VPN: website blocking uses Android's VPN service only to filter website names on your phone. Blocked names go nowhere; allowed names are looked up through encrypted DNS (Cloudflare or Google). Your traffic is not sent to any VPN server, and Aman doesn't keep a list of the sites you visit.
• Usage access and display over other apps: to see which app is open, so blocked apps can be paused with Aman's block screen, and for your weekly screen time. This stays on your phone.
• Location (approximate): prayer times for where you are. You can choose a city manually instead.
