AppLocker: Lock Apps & Vault

AppLocker keeps your private apps and photos private. Lock any app on your phone behind a PIN or pattern, and tuck sensitive photos into an encrypted vault that only you can open.

No account. No sign-up. The app doesn't even have internet permission — nothing you do ever leaves your phone.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Lock any app — Choose exactly which apps need your PIN or pattern to open: messaging, gallery, social, banking, settings, anything on your phone.
• PIN or pattern — Pick a 4- or 6-digit PIN or a swipe pattern. Wrong attempts slow down and lock out after repeated tries.
• Private vault — Move personal photos into an encrypted vault (AES-256). They're hidden from your gallery and sealed behind your lock.
• Intruder selfie — If someone guesses wrong too many times, AppLocker quietly takes a photo with the front camera so you can see who it was.
• Disguise the icon — Make AppLocker look like a Calculator, Browser, Weather, or Recorder app on your home screen. You can also hide the pattern path as you draw it.
• Smart auto-pause — Set time windows when locking automatically pauses — for example during work hours — so you're not re-entering your PIN all day.
• Recovery code — Forget your PIN? Unlock with the one-time recovery code you saved during setup. No reset, no backdoor.

PRIVACY FIRST
• No ads and no sign-up.
• The app has no internet permission at all — your credential, vault, intruder photos, locked-app list, and settings stay only on your device.
• Your PIN or pattern is never stored; only a hardware-backed, one-way verifier is kept, so it can't be read back from your phone.
• App backups are disabled and the lock screen blocks screenshots.

PERMISSIONS (and why)
• Display over other apps + Usage access — to show the lock screen the moment you open a locked app.
• Camera — only if you turn on Intruder Alerts.
• Notifications + Foreground service — to keep protection running reliably in the background.
• Run at startup — to restore protection after your phone reboots.
You're asked for these inside the app, and you can turn any of them off in Settings at any time.
