Description by TipTinker(from Google Play)
APRCalculator shows what a loan really costs once upfront fees are counted. Start from the payment you were quoted to find the note rate and the true APR, or enter the interest rate to get the monthly payment and the APR with fees.
• Two ways to calculate: from the quoted monthly payment, or from the interest rate • See the APR, the note rate, and how much the fees add on top • Early payoff APR: enter the month you plan to pay the loan off to see the effective APR, payoff balance, interest paid, and interest plus upfront fees • Itemize fees such as origination, credit report, documentation, application, insurance, and title or registration, and choose which ones count toward the finance charge • Get the finance charge, total interest, and total paid, plus the first month's split between interest and principal • Balance chart and a year-by-year table of interest, principal, and balance • Every result updates live as you type • Save lender offers as named scenarios with notes and reload them any time • Start from presets for personal loans, auto loans, no-fee and high-fee offers • Share a summary of the result
Uses the U.S. Regulation Z method for fixed-rate loans with equal monthly payments. The early payoff APR is a cost estimate, not a disclosed APR. Fee defaults follow 12 CFR 1026.4, but your lender's disclosure is what counts.
