ArCoon OBD2 Car Scanner

Understand your Check Engine light with ArCoon, an OBD2 car scanner for Android. Read supported diagnostic trouble codes, clear codes after repairs and monitor live engine data. Get AI-assisted explanations and compare vehicle readings before and after repairs.

A compatible OBD2 adapter is required for vehicle scanning and is sold separately. Features depend on your vehicle, control modules and adapter.

FAULTS AND MANUFACTURER DATA
• Read standard diagnostic trouble codes and supported manufacturer or control-unit faults, with available explanations, status and severity.
• Explore a catalogue of over 21,000 diagnostic definitions, including manufacturer definitions, covering 65 car brands. Coverage varies by model and system.
• Use manufacturer data screens and panels to view supported Mode 22 readings, including transmission fluid temperature, engine oil temperature and other advanced sensors. Manufacturer data is read-only.
• Review Mode 06 on-board monitor tests, measured values and limits. These test results are distinct from fault codes.
• Check emissions readiness, fuel trims and freeze-frame readings. Clear supported codes after addressing the cause; clearing codes does not repair faults.

SMART SCAN AND AI MECHANIC
The comprehensive AI scan brings available diagnostic findings into an understandable report, with suggested checks and indicative repair costs. Ask the AI mechanic about codes, readings and possible next steps. AI results assist diagnosis and do not establish a definitive cause or replace a qualified technician. An account, internet connection and available usage allowance are required.

Compare readings and fault codes before and after work with Repair Check. See what changed and what still needs attention, rather than relying only on a cleared warning light.

COMPATIBILITY
ArCoon connects through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi with a compatible adapter. It supports compatible older OBD-II models as well as newer cars. Support is not guaranteed for every model year, sensor or control unit. Manufacturer coverage does not mean every function is available on every car. English, Arabic, French and Spanish interfaces and light and dark themes are available.

FREE FEATURES AND SUBSCRIPTION
Without an account, read and clear faults, view live data, sensor tests, inspection readiness and fuel trims, use the OBD terminal and keep a local trip log. Freeze frames and Repair Check have limited free allowances.

A free account adds limited trials of full fault explanations, AI scans and AI mechanic replies, plus a time-limited manufacturer-readings trial.

A monthly or annual Google Play subscription adds full fault explanations, unlimited freeze frames and repair checks, recurring AI allowances, the drive-cycle guide, supported manufacturer readings, odometer data consistency checks, PDF reports, cloud history and the web owner dashboard. Usage allowances, vehicle limits and prices are shown in the app before subscribing. An account works on one active phone at a time.

Recent changes:
• Improved stability of the Live Data floating window on Android 14 and later.
• Clearer messages when connecting to some older cars, with an option to send the connection record to our support team. Fault-code checks on these cars now say clearly that they are not available yet.
• Live readings for some older Nissan cars (subscribers).
