Comments on Ascension: Deckbuilding Game for Android

Fantastic, fun, chaotic game. I hadn't played such card game since ~1998 (Doom trooper) but Ascension got me back. I have only 18 hours of game time, and besides main game I have only played first four expansions. But I can already recommend everyone to try this. Luck can be a major factor in winning, but the question is do you play for fun or do you play for the sake of winning. Great art, fun mechanisms, cultist screams!

See below for the old review (gone from 5 stars to 1 star): New review: The game used to be one of my favorites, and I've bought all the expansions on Android, iOS, and PC (Steam). I recently upgrade my Android to a new Pixel 6, and not all of my expansions were showing as purchased. They don't catalog your in-app purchases through the Play Store, and you have to log into the Playdek account online apparently to attempt to retrieve them. However, even after doing that, I was unable to get Deliverance back. I contacted Support, who basically recommended a couple obvious procedures that didn't work. After a month of silence, I reached out, only to receive a polite reply saying they were dealing with bigger issues, and I've been ghosted ever since. In the end, I was forced to buy the expansion again, but that will be my final Playdek purchase, of any kind, forever. It's not like it was terribly expensive, but for me, it's the principle of the matter. In short, be prepared to re-purchase at least some expansions if you ever upgrade your device, and expect no support. That may be ok for some, but not for me. ######OLD REVIEW####### Took long enough, but its finally on Android. This is a game that I buy any additions as they release them instantly, without a second thought. I probably play this more than any other game, on any platform. I just wish I could migrate over all the iOS purchases. But I'm happy to support Playdek, and hope they bring other titles to Android as soon as possible.

Notifications work now. Excellent game. Played it digitally for years before grabbing the actual table-top setup. Okay both constantly. Literally the only thing I could think of changing is offering the ability to increase the honor pool when it's just you and one other human player. 60 seems low.

Had to rebuy promo packs and now the game freezes when playing with the latest Legends expansion.

The latest update has locked expansions that I had previously purchased. Now I have games I cannot continue unless I repurchase the expansion.

Recent update removed all dlc I owned with no explanation and is now asking me to purchase them again edit: it seems redownloading the app brings the dlc back, but the moment I click Online the permissions get removed again
