Description by When Georgia Smiled Foundation(from Google Play)
Voted as one of the two “best apps for domestic violence prevention” last year, the Aspire News App is a potentially life-saving app that allows victims of abuse to call for help at the touch of a button. The app contains summaries of top stories in world, sports, and entertainment news powered by Yahoo! It is available for download on iPhone and Android smartphone devices.
Additionally, if someone you know is in an abusive relationship – or if that someone is you – the Help section of the application contains resources for victims of domestic violence.
Please Note: This app does not serve as a replacement for emergency services – in any situation where you feel that you may be at risk, please dial 911 or your local emergency number.

I believe all women even those not in a domestic violence situation should have! Can send to emergency contact if in any dangerous situation such as kidnapping. Works exactly as described in the Dr phil show. News articles are constantly updated and very easy to use.

A lifesaving app every victim of domestic violence-woman or man-of every age, must install on your phone!! This way it will be there when you need it! Thank you, Robin McGraw!

There's no news articles??? The whole point is it's supposed to be disguised as a news app, but it just says "no new articles, check back soon". You can easily apply to be on the Dr. Phil show, but they can't be bothered to fix the most basic aspects of an app that is meant for emergency situations, which is super sleazy. I didn't try any of the emergency functions, but I wouldn't trust them to save anyone's life cause this thing is a mess.
★★☆☆☆
Unfortunately I could not get it to work. Luckily I was just curious and testing it but if I was in need it would be a major issue.
