Headphones connect via Bluetooth and work fine, but they won't appear in the app. Apparently the app is necessary to use all the features of the headphones. Reached out to Audio Technica but can't get a response for days now. The only conclusion to come to is that the app isn't working properly.

Unable to connect to M50XBT, although they are on the supported list and app wants access to location 100% of the time, why? They're headphones.

Add support for the M20xBT headphones! Sure, the headphones itself physically need to support it, but you really can't at least change SOME features of the device at all through software? Even some audio balancing would be good...

I downloaded the app bcus right out of the box my new ath-m20xbt have been having homeward connection issues like my devices saying It's connected but not playing audio or random restarts of the headphones on their own. But when I download the app it asks for what is basically full unmonitored acces to my phone for it to then not even support the headphones I am using, atleats they wereng in the support dropdown I got after the app failing to find my connected headphones.
