AuraFret: Guitar Practice

Make time to play with AuraFret, your guitar practice toolkit for Android. Explore guitar chords, tune your strings, build your rhythm and work through songs at a comfortable pace.

CHORD SHAPES & GUIDED PRACTICE
Explore the chord library with clear fingering diagrams. Follow a Learning Path, practise chord changes and return to your next lesson when you are ready.

GUITAR TUNER & METRONOME
Tune using your phone's microphone. Set a practice tempo, tap in a beat and choose a time signature to develop steadier timing.

BACKING TRACKS FOR YOUR PRACTICE
Build a chord progression and generate a backing track on your device. Choose a style and tempo, then play along with the chord display.

LEARN SONGS SECTION BY SECTION
Import supported audio you own, or record a reference with permission. Review an estimated chord map, correct it by ear, slow playback and repeat a difficult passage with A-B loops. Save songs locally and continue your practice later.

LIVE CHORD ESTIMATES
Start Live Practice to estimate chords, musical key and tempo from sound around you. Explore Recommended Capo positions and easier chord shapes, plus a Suggested Strumming Pattern. Live next-chord suggestions are predictions; imported songs can show upcoming chords from their analysed timeline.

BUILT AROUND YOUR MUSIC
Audio analysis runs on your Android device. Live Practice and Tuner microphone samples are discarded after analysis. Reference recordings and imported practice audio stay in app-private storage until you delete them. Optional backup and restore lets you move your saved songs using a file you control. There is no app account, advertising or analytics.

SUBSCRIPTION & AVAILABILITY
An active Google Play subscription is required for learning and practice tools. Available plans, prices and any trial eligibility are shown before purchase. Google Play manages billing and cancellation; an internet connection is required for purchase and subscription verification. Saved-song access, deletion and backup controls remain available without an active subscription.

Musical analysis provides estimates, not guaranteed transcription. Results can be delayed, incomplete or incorrect, especially with complex mixes or background noise. Check chords, key, tempo and strumming suggestions by ear. AuraFret does not download or extract audio from streaming services.

Previously called Guitar Companion. Existing users keep their app data and subscription through the name change.
