Backup function password does not work tried 15 times setting even simple password when trying to restore the backup the password is not accepted. I cannot move the saved backup to another device!

Ok so I have 2 phones and have authenticator pro on each device. Both android devices same phones. When I back up my 2fa codes and then try to upload I get the error "this file is not from authenticator pro" it clearly is, and I am stumped. Without a fix I can't import the file. Please help. Both devices run android 12 and are brand new. Nuu B20 5G phones.
