Auto Edge

AutoEdge — Vehicle Evaluator & Estimator

Walk onto any lot, auction floor, or curbside deal with a number you can stand on. AutoEdge turns a VIN scan into a confident bid in under a minute: live retail comparables, damage-adjusted fair market value, and a max-bid recommendation with your target profit margin baked in.

BUILT FOR PEOPLE WHO BUY CARS FOR A LIVING

Independent dealers, wholesalers, body shop owners, mechanics flipping side jobs, and private buyers who refuse to be the easy mark. If you've ever stood next to a vehicle wondering what it's really worth, AutoEdge is the answer in your pocket.

WHAT YOU GET

• VIN scanning three ways — camera OCR, door-jamb barcode, or manual Year / Make / Model
• Live retail comparable listings near your ZIP, filtered to your ±15% mileage band
• Full NHTSA VIN decode and federal recall lookup
• Damage-by-panel pricing — flag dents, scratches, glass, mechanical, frame issues, salvage title (auto 20% deduction)
• Condition scoring across interior, exterior, mechanical, and tires
• Auction-base price and max-bid suggestion using your target margin %
• Vehicle History — every evaluation you've ever run, searchable, with full snapshots
• Service Log — track every job (parts, labor, hours, mechanic) and build your own real-world cost database
• Cross-device sync — sign in on a second device and your history, service log, and settings come with you

LIVE DATA, NOT BOOK VALUES

AutoEdge pulls retail listings directly from the Auto.dev Vehicle Listings API, decodes VINs against NHTSA's vPIC database, and cross-references the federal recalls feed. Your numbers come from real cars currently for sale near you, not stale tables.

PRIVACY FIRST

Your account, history, and service log are tied only to your Google sign-in, encrypted in transit, and stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure. No location data is collected beyond a coarse ZIP code for comp searching. Export or fully delete your data anytime from Settings — every byte gets wiped, no questions asked. Full privacy policy and terms at appautoedge.com.

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT

Most evaluation tools are book-value lookups with a coat of paint. AutoEdge uses live retail listings — the actual asking prices on actual cars on actual lots right now. Pair that with damage adjustments grounded in real body shop pricing (built by a working body shop owner), and you get a number that survives contact with the auction floor.

Built in Minnesota by James Byland. No VC, no surveillance, no upsells — just a tool that earns the screen real estate every time you tap it.
