This program works perfectly! My phone now automatically turns hotspot when it connects to my car's Bluetooth, and turns off once disconnected. You have to invest some time in making this work, but the video tutorial is very easy to follow. Android 16 is far more restrictive in terms of what phone functions an app has access to, so the extra steps are needed to activate this app. Once configured, it's basically set it and forget it!

Does what it promises! Until the latest Pixel update, that is. Now it doesn't work anymore. Pro version.

Update: my phone updated to Android 16 and now this won't work after only a couple of weeks after paying for pro mode. After trying many other apps that couldn't do what this one does, I paid for the pro version. Works on my pixel 8 pro to connect to my ev without rooting, whatever that is. I only had to put a hotspot button on my quick drop-down menu. Thanks to Google opinions rewards it cost me nothing.
