Offline Auto Parts Guide The core automotive dictionary works offline — no internet connection is needed to read articles and descriptions (except online photos and AI features). Explore engines, brakes, suspension, steering, transmission, electrical systems, sensors and other automotive components. Use quick dynamic search, voice search, favorites, notes and search history.
Understanding How Your Vehicle Works Modern vehicles combine mechanical parts, electronics and computer systems. Understanding how a vehicle’s network works and how its components communicate can help you diagnose and troubleshoot problems more effectively.
Working on Your Vehicle’s Electrical Systems Learn the basic role of automotive electronics, sensors and electrical systems. Better knowledge can help you understand warning signs and prepare useful questions for a qualified mechanic.
Making Your Own Repairs Use the guide for routine maintenance and DIY car repair preparation: fluids, windshield wipers, tires, brakes and other common components. Knowing how parts work can help you maintain your vehicle and avoid replacing the wrong component.
Modifying Your Vehicle Explore how third-party replacement parts and vehicle systems work together before planning modifications. Always verify compatibility and follow the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions.
Driving Safer Knowing how brakes, tires, steering and other safety-related parts wear over time can help you recognize warning signs earlier. Safety-critical diagnosis and repair should be confirmed by a qualified automotive professional.
Satisfying Your Curiosity See a vehicle as a network of interdependent parts instead of a single machine. This pocket dictionary and automotive encyclopedia is useful for car owners, DIY enthusiasts, automotive students and mechanics.

Helps as a comprehensive reference of parts to the car but not something for you to help repair

Most of what you need, everything you don't. Very nicely formatted with easy to read articles, available in PDF. For the person that needs to know everything. Not a great app for actual repair info or diagnostics. I needed help with TCC selenoide, PCM, Mass air-flow sensor and the search tool was little helped but scrolling down I found articles that vastly increased my knowledge of my truck.

Great app, gives you an understanding of what a specific part is...

The application contains useful information, but it contains too many ads, and you can't download all the data it has at once which kinda sucks

All the information this app provides is through unedited Wikipedia articles. As a result, the information is both very technical and very limited. Often explaining that a part interacts with other parts, referring to those parts by name, and not elaborating on how exactly they work together in a way that's understandable to beginners. Because it's Wikipedia articles about broad topics, it also includes a lot of information that's not needed, such as oil filters being used in factory equipment.
