Description
AutoBeacon App is an advanced Driving Behavior Monitoring App that measures your driving behavior using Sensor data and scores each of your trip on various safe driving driving parameters. Main objective of AutoBeacon App is to help drivers rate their driving behavior and progressively become safer drivers.
AutoBeacon App measures each trip on rash or unsafe driving parameters including Overspeeding, Sudden Braking, Sudden Acceleration, Fast Cornering and Distracted Driving. These parameters are individually rated as well as a consolidated Safe Driving Score is generated. Apart from Driving behavior, AutoBeacon App measures the driving distance and driving time for each trip.
AutoBeacon also detects a Potential Crash based on a large, sudden impact on your phone while you are driving. In case AutoBeacon detects a Potential Crash, a notification with a sound buzzer will appear on Driver's phone with a countdown timer of 20 seconds. Driver can press cancel on this notification to indicate that it is a False alarm. App can also send an SMS alert to a User specified emergency contact, if that option is chosen by User in the Crash SMS Alert setting.
AutoBeacon's Home screen shows your consolidated Safe Driving Score (out of 100). It also shows summary of your recent trips. Tapping on the Location Icon shows for any trip shows the exact route of the trip, the location and severity of various Driving alerts. AutoBeacon's "All Trips" screen shows the log of your historical trips organized by each day. Tapping on any particular trip shows the Trip summary for that trip. Driving Score trend screen shows you the weekly trend of your Safe Driving score and its constituent scores.
AutoBeacon App has two modes of data collection: a) Phone mode : In this mode, App uses Driver's Smartphone sensor data (including GPS, Acceleromter and Gyroscope) while driving to analyze the driving behavior. b) Beacon Mode : In this mode, App uses a BLE Beacon device placed in the vehicle in combination with Driver's Smartphone to more accurately measure the Driving behavior.
Profile screen enables you to select Data Collection Mode, Edit and View your User Profile and Vehicle Profile. Please select Phone mode unless you have a BLE Beacon device provided by us.
AutoBeacon automatically detects when the User has started driving. Please ensure that your phone's GPS is ON while driving. In case Phone GPS is off when Trip start is detected, notification on phone is generated to advise user to enable GPS. AutoBeacon detects when a drive has ended and analyzes collected data within the App to generate the Trip summary, Driving Alerts and Safe Driving scores.
For AutoBeacon to run seamlessly without user’s intervention, App needs to run a background service on Phone continuously. Modern Smartphones have battery saving settings that stop background services. Users need to enable certain settings so that AutoBeacon is allowed to run in background. Please see the advised phone settings from the FAQ section inside the App.
Besides end users such as Car owners and Fleet owners, AutoBeacon App is specially useful for Auto Insurance companies to offer Usage Based Insurance including Pay-as-you-drive (PAYD) and Pay-how-you-drive (PHYD) and other Telematics based Services to its customers. Incredibly oversensitive. I literally can't take a journey without the app complaining about aggressive cornering where I could walk round the corner faster, aggressive braking, where I don't even touch the brake (just take your foot off the accelerator) or aggressive accelerating which is just laughable when only parking! Also says you are speeding where you aren't. I actually think it's more dangerous trying to drive avoiding alerts when the alerts are soooo hyper sensitive.
