A MILEAGE DEDUCTION THAT FOLLOWS THE REAL IRS RATE 2026 is a split year — the IRS standard mileage rate is 72.5 cents per mile through 30 June and 76 cents from 1 July. AutoMiles prices every business mile at the rate in force on the day you drove it, so the second half of your 1099 tax year is not quietly under-counted. Your home screen now leads with your estimated mileage deduction for this month or the whole tax year.

Recent changes: Walks are no longer mistaken for drives. Recording now starts only on real driving signals: a vehicle reading must come with driving speed, one stray GPS speed spike is ignored, and walking away from your parked car no longer begins a new trip.
Also fixed: a background-tracking crash on Android 12+ that could stop drive detection until the app was reopened, and the Android notification could claim a drive was being recorded while AutoMiles was only watching.
