Description
Avalanche is an umbrella platform for launching decentralized financial (DeFi) applications, financial assets, trading and other services. Avalanche supports the same tools as Ethereum, the network bandwidth reaches 4500 transactions per second and is confirmed instantly.
The AVAX token is Avalanche's internal payment method and is used to collect commissions during transactions, as well as for rewards and similar purposes. Users can also receive passive income from them by stacking, placing their coins on the network.
At the start of the project, 360 million AVAX tokens were issued, and the same amount should be issued for the payment of stacking rewards. After paying the commissions, AVAX tokens are burned, their number in circulation decreases. Over time, this should help the growth of the cryptocurrency exchange rate. For example, in Ethereum, the maximum number of tokens is not limited, so there is no deflation mechanism in it. AVAX will never be released more than 720 million.
Scalability and security. Avalanche and all blockchains created on it work on the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm. Tens of thousands of nodes around the world provide network performance, which gives transaction speed and protection from attacks. In this, Avalanche has bypassed Ethereum, which is only working on switching to PoS.
