Background Camera RemoteStream

Background Camera RemoteStream by Super Funicular LLC and Digi Nomad records video and streams to YouTube Live with your screen completely off, so a single charge lasts for hours instead of minutes. It is built for vloggers, IRL streamers, event coverage, dashcams and home monitoring, and it is updated constantly: more than a hundred builds have shipped since launch, each with release notes in your language.

RECORD WITH THE SCREEN OFF (FREE)
Start recording, turn the screen off, put the phone in your pocket and go. Front or back camera, flash control, 14 quality presets from 480p to 1080p, camera sound on or off, and start or stop with the volume buttons without ever waking the screen. Low battery and full storage stop the recording cleanly instead of leaving a broken file.

YOUR RECORDINGS CANNOT BE LOST
Every recording now carries its own repair information inside the file. If the app or the phone crashes, reboots, or the camera is taken away mid-recording, the footage is finalized and repaired automatically, with sound, the next time the app runs, and placed in your gallery. If the camera stops working while recording, the app notices within seconds, closes the file intact, restarts the recording, and tells you what happened. A Recover Lost Videos screen scans any folder, rebuilds damaged files, and lets you move, retry or delete anything it keeps for you.

RELIABLE YOUTUBE LIVE STREAMING (PRO)
Stream live from the camera with the screen off, or stream pre-recorded files and playlists with looping, custom thumbnails, public or private streams and live chat in the app. Lose Wi-Fi or cellular for up to 90 seconds and the stream reconnects by itself the moment any connection returns, showing viewers a Be Right Back card instead of ending the broadcast. A pre-stream checklist verifies battery optimization, Battery Saver, Data Saver, network, storage and notifications before you go live, and the stream can be stopped from the notification at any time.

REMOTE WEB CONSOLE (PRO)
Open the app from any browser on the same Wi-Fi, no companion app needed. Every screen is mirrored: start and stop recording, switch cameras, change settings, browse and recover files, and control YouTube streaming from a laptop, tablet or second phone. Password protected.

BUILT-IN VIDEO GALLERY
Play, share and delete recordings inside the app, organize them in folders you create, and pick which folder new recordings go to.

SOUNDBOARD (FREE FOR EVERYONE)
A full soundboard with up to 20 boards: record sounds with the microphone, import audio files, trim them, set per-tile volume and boost, choose icons and colors, record a performance and play it back, save and load whole boards, and export your recordings. A starter pack of 20 boards is downloaded automatically.

PRIVACY
Your recordings and streams never pass through our servers. Recording stays on your device; streaming goes directly from your phone to YouTube.

FREE

PRO (one-time purchase or subscription, with a free trial)

Available in English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Chinese.

Recent changes:
When the camera stops working during a recording, the message you see now says exactly that, instead of blaming another app. The notice that a recording was restarted appears only when it really was restarted, and it now tells you why. Internal recording diagnostics are completed for every file.
