Backrooms: Horror Chat Game

Backrooms horror game that unfolds right inside your messenger. A scary interactive story, text quest, and chat game in one.

One day an unknown number texts you. The person on the other side doesn't understand where they are. Endless yellow corridors, buzzing lights, damp carpet, a silence that presses down. A place that isn't on any map. The Backrooms. And no one knows the way out.

You are their only link to the outside world. They see what you can't. You know what they don't. Together you have a chance to find a way out.

A horror story told through text messages.

Messages arrive in real time. Typing, pauses before a reply, delays. They send you photos of what they see, voice messages when speaking is too frightening. Time keeps moving even when the app is closed. They text while you're away, and wait for you to come back.

Your choices decide who makes it out.

Reassure them or tell the truth. Send them deeper or hold them in place. Every decision sends the story down its own path, and not every path has an exit. A branching plot, multiple endings. Some of them you won't want to see.

What's inside:

- Several stories and characters, each one needs to be guided out of the Backrooms
- A text quest and a visual novel in one, in the form of a chat
- Atmospheric horror game with no jumpscares — a slow, quiet dread
- The story runs in real time, even when the app is closed
- Branching plot, choices that matter, multiple endings
- Photos, voice messages, living pauses
- Mystery and thriller in the spirit of the Backrooms and creepypasta
- Plays offline

This is not a jumpscare game. This is not a loud horror. This is a slow-burn scary game where the horror creeps through text messages, through silence, through waiting.

If you love interactive fiction, text games, story games, chat games, or creepypasta — this game was built for you.

Someone is waiting for a reply. Will you help them get out of the Backrooms?
