I downloaded Balaton on my phone, and it was a mistake. Don't get me wrong it's an incredible game. The only problem is that it is incredibly addictive. I needed something for the journey home to keep me engaged but after playing it on the train I felt guilty at not enjoying the golden hour summer views and I played for a quick break at 9:30pm and didn't stop until like 2am 👀😂 I played for 3 hours the next day. I had to limit my screen time for the app to an hour a day 😂

Own this one on steam and mobile and tbh I think I like the mobile app even more than the desktop version, which is a rare achievement for a game to get from me. I love gambling <3

Are slot machines fun? No, they are detrimental, a waste of time and designed to be addictive. Balaton has no story, no endgame, no multiplayer and no point. For parents, kids should not be exposed to gambling. If you must play Balaton, avoid the mobile version. You will lose all your progress for no reason whatsoever. It's been two years, they never fixed this issue. Mobile is the only version of Balaton that has serious save file issues. Google will not refund this game, you have been warned!

2.5. I have to say I'm extremely disappointed in this game and don't really see what people like in it other than for gambling purposes. I'd skip. This is by far the most RNG reliant "roguelike" I've ever played, so much so that I wouldn't even call it a roguelike or lite. The entire game hinges on getting good jokers, and good shops. If you get neither of those, your run is dead. 95% RNG/5% skill. Compared to every single other roguelike I've played, this one has the most obvious "dead runs".
