It's not as bad as others have reviewed this app. Set up was a nightmare. I couldn't get it the app to register with my Android phone. I had to borrow my girlfriend's iPhone to register the app, then I could sign in. Once it was fully setup, now it works like a charm. Google commands work 99% of the time to open or close the motorized shades. Sometimes the Google Assistant announces she can't find the motorized shade control, however within 5 to 10 seconds, it starts working.

Well, finally got it to work, and it works great EXCEPT I agree with all other reviews, it is extremely hard to set up and not dependable UNLESS on your (android) phone you only utilize the data mode, you must have the Wi-Fi off in your home. I found this out by accident. The Bali gateway and the app do not communicate at home if the phone is on your home Wi-Fi. Turn off your phone Wi-Fi and just use data mode and it works perfectly. Ridiculous, but true. Removed 1 star due to this issue.

I have had no issues with the application, works well, and I like it. I use both the app and the remote control that came with the Bali blinds.

The app will control the shades properly. The problem is integrating to Google Home. Bali advertises this functionality but it doesn't work. I'm trying to get a refund for the hub. I'm angry and disappointed. I expect better from a brand like Bali. Additional info. The updated version of the app now makes connectivity to Google possible. The gateway will not stay connected. I have 26 other devices connected to my Google Home. The Bali (piece of junk) are the only devices that won't stay.

Totally unable to make routines work since latest updates. Worked just fine previously. Customer service said they are waiting for a different update?? Just waiting for authorization from Costco to return all the blinds.
