A BBC App that fully works on Android Congratulations to the development team, who have delivered the BBC's first well designed and feature rich App that actually works on Android. Could this team now be put in charge of the Website, the News App, the Sport App, and the TV iPlayer App, and sort out all of the frustratingly dead media content that doesn't currently play on Android devices? Playback of On-Demand programmes still not working. The UI of this tablet version is an improvement on the regular iPlayer Radio app, but in all other respects is no better and sometimes worse. ▪In common with iPlayer Radio, playback of On-Demand programmes cannot be continued after pausing, only restarted at the beginning, which kind of undermines the whole point of On-Demand! ▪If you have Location Services off, as many tablet users do, you get an error message every time you select Local Radio. ▪You can't add local stations to the Station Dial (as you can on iPlayer Radio), but you do get lots of stations you'll never use. It would be good to be able to choose which stations show on the Dial. ▪I couldn't find Podcasts, I assume they're still not available in this version. On the point of uninstalling, now use BBC iPlayer Radio website, which actually works when used in conjunction with BBC Media Player. 7" tablet using stock Android 4.2.2.

BBC iPlayer Radio Tablet version - doesn't work I downloaded the latest update but when you open it it tells you that it is outdated so please go to Google Play to download the latest version! A real Catch 22. Luckily the phone version does work.
