If there's a fire, it shows up on the map, along with fire perimeters, evacuation zones, and information about what they're using to fight the fires with. That's all that it needs to do. It's not flashy or anything, but it doesn't have to be.

Don't understand the low ratings, works fine for me. Reported fires show up quickly on the map and status seems to be updated quickly. Zooming the map to my area works fine for me. Used the reporting feature, and it seemed to work well and uploaded photos no problem. Does itbe intended job.

The only issue I have is that you can't zoom in anywhere near the edges of the map of BC. Well half the population of BC lives near the bottom left corner, and you can't zoom in on that area at all.

The bad reviews on this are heavily outdated. The app is smooth, works great, and gives you access to so much information about the fires and whose working on them, with regular updates multiple times a day. It's helped me feel much safer, as well as visualize how close my home is to the fires.

One star based on: 1. Not able to zoom in on one particular spot on the map. App keeps defaulting to a different region 2. When selecting fires in a specific region it doesn't take you to the chosen location 3. Why aren't the list of fires clickable on the main page, so they take you to the fire on the map 4. There are boxes to choose an area on the dashboard that ends up on top of other writing

Just download the app. Search bar doesn't work, and the app freezes my phone. Unusable.

Used to work really well, but now it's too glitchy to use. You can't zoom in/out or move around on the map. Tapping a fire on the map doesn't usually bring up details, but sometimes it causes the map to suddenly zoom out. When I try to save a location, a text bubble pops up saying, "failed to save location." I'm on android and i uninstalled/reinstalled the app, which didn't help. Edit: the 2.3.8 update makes it possible to zoom on the map and bring up details, but nothing else has improved.
