The BEAM Authentic App allows you to create and express yourself by creating round visual content called Beams. The BEAM Create process is easy to use and robust, giving you a powerful set of tools to design and create just about anything you want from photos to graphics. You can share these Beams by sending them to your wearable BEAM device (connected dynamic smart button) and/or share your Beams online in our newsfeed, on social media or direct to friends via text. Find or create content from the BEAM library, other users, your phone pictures, your phone camera, or from the web. Edit them, describe and tag them, add a URL, and BEAM them to your device wirelessly using Bluetooth, or to your social media. You can also donate to charities, organizations, and causes right from the app, and then Beam their image or logo, expressing their values, and share them with others who might want to donate and support these causes. BEAM what you care most about – your favorite sports team, your school, charities, causes, current events, bands, pop culture, politics, and of course friends and family and more. BEAM stimulates conversations in the real world.

Great marketing and expression tool set for anyone.

I love the BEAM as it has so many areas it can be directed at. From
advertising to making others aware of things you feel or know are
important, even putting on a few silly images that have comical value
amongst your group of friends on a night out for laughs. It's speaking
without talking. I believe images are more quickly taken in by our eyes
than words are and so get the message across more efficiently and
effectively. The app has been straight forward for me in making my own
images, uploading them onto the beam device and posting them for others to
see. It does all its features well enough for me, and I'm a hard to please
UK Englishman. Only downside is the zoom/ rotation part whilst creating
your own beam moves about too fast making it fairly difficult to scale and
line up as you want it to be without a few attempts at doing so and can be
frustrating for impatient folk like myself

Got my beam, installed this app aaaand it doesn't do anything without updating the beam with a different device (Mac or PC).

It works, but the app has a clumsy design. It is very difficult to resize and align images properly. The two-finger resize and rotate makes it very difficult without any system to realign an image vertically or fit to frame. The slideshow only allows up to 10 images. The worst limitation is that it only allows GIF images up to 24 frames.

Awful app. Will it ever be updated, so it's easy to add and remove images and gifs? It's all just sharing focused.

I'm so glad I was given this as swag instead of having purchased it myself because it would have been a huge waste of money. Firmware upgrades only work on Mac. The app bugs out frequently, claiming server error, requiring reinstall because even logging out and in, clearing app data, and restating phone doesn't help. You have to frequently make new attempts to pair the device until it finally works. Adding media to the device takes hours per attempt and several attempts. Worst UX design too.
